Default How to find wind-generated electricity supplier

Hi All,

I'm a new member of the forum and have a question that is a little off the center of your focus but I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.

A couple of years ago, our Maryland power utility company (BGE/Constellation) opened the choice of power suppliers to its customers. We chose to pay a little more and get our electricity from PEPCO, the Virginia/D.C. based company, because they offered wind-generated power via the grid. Not the same as generating your own but it's a good stop-gap until we have the wherewithal to do solar here. Last month, PEPCO sent us a letter stating that they were dropping their residential wind customers, presumably because some commercial client had gobbled up their capacity. My question is, how does one go about finding a replacement supplier? Everything I've Googled comes back with companies that want to supply wind generation equipment -- something that's not really practical for us.

Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry to hear that. I would think that the first people you would need to contact would be BGE, since you don't just need a supplier of wind energy, you need one that has been approved by BGE in the first place, don't you?

A watt saved is better than a watt generated, since it always costs less than 10% as much, and can cost as little as 1%.

V=volt, A=ampere, Ah=ampere hour, Wh= watt hour, VOC=open circuit voltage, ISC=short circuit current, VMPP=voltage @ max power, IMPP=current @ max power, BTW=by the way, your=belongs to you, you're=you are, too=in addition to, two=1+1, to=towards
